The state senate of North Carolina is close to approving a bill that would allow state and local law enforcement to use automatic license plates reader systems to create databases of people traveling on state roadways.

  2. Wonder how those license plate cameras are armored?
It's already happening in several towns here in coastal NC.
Ever see a police car with a couple of strange looking devices,
one on either side of the trunk lid near the back? Those are
    license plate cams.

I was standing on the street with my sister and 95 year old mother last year and
a homeland security Tahoe rolled by. I said "homeland security, we are living in a police state" My sister who is pretty much a liberal agreed by saying "that's starting to worry me too". My mom said "WELL.... I'm not worried about them because I haven't done anything wrong!" To that I said "neither did the Jews in Hitler's Germany".
That set the wheels turning in her head, I could tell by her expression but she didn't reply.

That's encouraging and I hope your mom is well.
