Top 30 Counties in the U.S. that are Most Heavily Armed – One State is Surprisingly Absent

Top 30 Counties in the U.S. that are Most Heavily Armed - One State is Surprisingly Absent

A map that was posted to Reddit on Saturday by user Ramesses Deux shows U.S. counties with the highest rates of gun ownership, and some of the states might just surprise you.

The poster notes that the data on the map is based off of the City Data list of the top 101 counties by firearm ownership. However, the site doesn’t say where the information comes from.

According to City Data, Louisiana seems to have the most gun-loving counties out of all the states with six parishes out of the top 30, which is what the map posted by Ramesses Deux shows.

  1. I think they are getting their data from some source that doesn't paint a total picture.
For example, 40% of my guns have been around since before records were kept.
They have no clue what I own and I think that is true for most rural areas of the south
    and probably the west.

    1. May well be and wish they had color coded the rest of the counties.

  2. No Texas. That's because we are a peaceful sort.
