Under Obama, U.S. personal freedom ranking slips below France

Via Billy

Americans' assessments of their personal freedom have significantly declined under President Obama, according to a new study from the Legatum Institute in London, and the United States now ranks below 20 other countries on this measure.

The research shows that citizens of countries including France, Uruguay, and Costa Rica now feel that they enjoy more personal freedom than Americans.

  1. So, this is a personal assessment of Freedom - not reality. There is a woman sitting in a Canadian prison for protesting peacefully in front of an abortion center. A Canadian pastor was prosecuted for preaching from the Bible about God's view on homosexuality. I don't know if he actually went to prison or not on hate crime charges. In Sweden, just say something unkind about muslims and see how that goes for you.

Our PINO wants us to be on equal footing with other non-free speech Western countries. Isn't that special ! Just stay in your house, and (so far), you are free to say or do anything you want... or not...

    1. And nearly all of the countries on the list except the USA have ridiculous gun laws (1000 flaming hoops to go through and a perilous drop at the end) or outright gun bans.

  3. Time to worry is when the French Military strike more fear into potential enemies than what our armed forces do. Given a number of factors, they maybe already laughing at us behind our backs.

  4. Google search for French military victories. Google asks if you meant "French military defeats?" :D
