Muslim parents have reacted angrily in a French town after the mayor announced it was 'pork or nothing' for school lunches, under the principles of the secular republic which dictates that religion should have no place in state institutions – including schools.
The change came after the catering company that provides meals to the 180 students in the small town of Sargé-lès-Le-Mans in southern France reported difficulties providing alternate meals for the 15 Muslim children on pork-based meal days. Declaring the local school free of religious influence, what in France is known as “laicïté”, or the “principle of Republican neutrality”, the mayor told parents it would from thereon be “pork or nothing”, TheLocal.fr reports.

Brock, I'll tell you this. These people bitch that pork is unfit for their diet and all that, but when I was in correctional facility work, you'd never hear a peep out of them around Thanksgiving and Christmas because that's the best meal of the year. They seem to forget their religion when they get hungry enough is all I'm saying.

I expect a beheading of a French Mayor soon. All kidding aside if you do now want to assimilate into the culture then stay home. Immigration is wonderful if the incoming cultures want to become part of where they are going. If however, their desire is not to become part of the culture but to change it and it destroys what is there. Multiculturalism is a horrible idea human nature is not multicultural. America became the greatest nation on earth by melting the different cultures into one. Can you imagine what America would look like today if every German every Frenchman and every Italian maintained their culture when they immigrated, into America? We would have little communities where only German was spoke while others that spoke only French and ones where Italian was the language. Instead, each culture kept a part of their heritage but adopted the greater American culture. America is failing and one of the major problems is not forcing immigrants to become American. Not just speak the language but also adopt the American culture. Of course, keep of their own culture but adopt what is American and become American. America has always welcomed immigrants and our culture shows the influence of them all. That was the strength that made America the greatest nation in the world but now we have sections in America where English is not even spoken. The whole idea that I have to press one for English or two for some other language is absurd. Immigrants must be forced to become American.

I find it funny actually, more interesting that we have had Jewish communities in America from the beginning. Our Jewish neighbors also do not eat pork. Yet you never hear or see them making some deal out of it only the Muslims. Why is it that we only hear the Muslim communities whining and complaining we need to bow to at them? Jews have been in America for over 300 years yet they don’t seem to have a problem getting along with everyone else. There have been Jews since before there was a Europe we know it. And for all those hundreds of years they seem to live in peace and harmony with their Christian neighbors.
