FedEx Refuses to Ship CNC Machines To Gun Enthusiasts

slide_2-900x484

FedEx will ship other CNC machines just as capable of completing an untraceable lower receiver without batting an eye, as well as the lower receivers themselves, Dremel tools, jigs, drill bits, routers, lathes, and other common (and much cheaper) machine shop tools used by recreational gunsmiths.

You can buy CNC milling machines on any one of dozens of web sites and have them shipping straight to your door, but FedEx is refusing to deliver one computer-controlled milling machine that is only remarkable for its name.

  1. Since you can build a lower out of plywood, this seems like a lot of hyperventalating by FedEX over nothing.

But in their defense, the US Army tried doing the same thing, calling 3d printer technology a serious national security threat. i know the girl whi wrote that position for the Army and she had no clue how modren weapons are made in machine shops. Easily made using technology from 100 years ago.

  2. Fed Ex is currently being sued by the government for shipping pharmaceuticals in which the government doesn't approve. Google to find more on that story. UPS had to pay a large fine recently through a government lawsuit. The government tries to control corporations through harassment. When Kennedy and Oberstar were in office they tried to change shipping laws to force FedEx to operate by ground rules in order to make it easier to unionize FedEx. Politicians will never leave them alone. I suspect they won't ship these as someone has already whispered in their ear about "trouble" if they do ship them. Control, control, control is the watchword of the progressive/socialist/communist. This doesn't surprise me a bit.

  7. I have used Greyhound for almost 20 years. It is a reasonable cost and I have never had nary one ITEM damaged at all. I service, sell, restore vintage and antique electric fans which are actually quite fragile even when superbly packed like mine are, No damages and I have shipped over 100 fans by the Hound.
