I'll have to reach out to my guy and see if he still has some of these kicking around. I picked one up last year for $125. Wouldn't take a dime more for it. Round izhevsk stamped receiver. Matching serial number 490-something. Shoots like a laser. I'd like to a couple more to tinker with. Stick a bipod on, scope, maybe the Archangel stock :)
Pretty expensive for a couple of good rifles and a big box of spare parts.
i have often remarked how the Next American revolution might be fought using the same guns that fought the last Russian revolution, and firing ammunition that the Russians manufactured intending to use against us.
it is also remarkable that the former Soviet bloc has turned into such a reliable manufacturing base for 9mm and 5.56mm NATO ammunition for the American market.
As I remember when I was considering buying, there are 20 in a crate. Back when they were $22/25K, I though not bad to arm 20 people and the ammo is cheap.
wish I had bought more than one in 2008 for $79.00
ReplyDeleteI think you could buy a case of them then for about 1500.00

DeleteI recall in the 80's you could get them for about 50 bucks each!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
