  1. Most states have laws against the setting of "spring-guns" or similar booby traps.
I suspect that a device such as this would be interpreted by the state as such a device.
I'd want an airtight legal opinion from a DA or judge before setting one of these and leaving it unattended. To the state your intents are irrelevant.....all that matters is what you did and how THEY can interpret it.

    1. Yes, if deadly, but it's being marketed as a warning device using blanks.

    2. The problem being it's the DA and the system that get to define 'Deadly' for
the jury....not you. It doesn't have to harm someone to get your ass in put in jail. It just has to meet THEIR definition of a trap.

    3. I don 't know how a blank could be considered deadly in a sane world.

    4. The world of the law and the world of the sane are often at odds.

  2. That's pretty slick. A bit more expensive than a mousetrap, piece of pipe and a block of wood, though.

They taught us some neat tricks at Ft. Benning. One of the best instructors I had would show us what they used to make in Vietnam - then show us what Charlie would make. One can learn from many different sources.

  3. I think this is more for after the festivities have begun, without blanks of course
