Encouragement for cancer victims

 http://wishesmessages.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Inspirational-quote-about-surviving-cancer.jpg

40 years since my first and 20 years since my second.  (Same cancer both times) Though I'll probably die of some form of cancer eventually if nothing else fatal emerges. :) Fight on and keep a stiff upper lip, as my mother would say!

  1. I wish you nothing but good health, my friend.

We haven't met face-to-face yet, so neither of us can croak before that happens.

It would be improper and impolite.

  2. Brock, from one two-time survivor to another, I'm raising a glass to your continued good health (actually, it's a red solo cup).

The Princess sent me this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAMYAoiCSsI I hope you like it as much as I did...I'll never let them zap me again.

    Slainte!

    2. Submandibular salivary gland first time, in ought-seven. Both lungs in '10.

      40 years! Well done, sir.

We may yet exit this drama as warriors.

      Whoa. What's the outlook?

    4. I studied on the answer to this question. The outlook is much the same as it ever was. If the Lord takes me, I'll be killing golf eggs with Donnie and riding noisy motor-sickles with Terry, and doing other things with folks already otherwise proven much too good for this world.

Short of that, I'll rub some dirt on it and continue hanging out with y'all, so long as the ammo lasts.

I just wrapped up six months of chemo (CLL), and am now in remission!
I'm really looking forward to the idaho PatCon, and maybe I'll get lucky and make yours this year as well.
Again, congratulations Brock, stay healthy my friend!

  10. My Dad only lasted 5 years with colon cancer even though he fought it so valiantly. You are truly blessed, Mr. Townsend and we are blessed to still have you with us. Stay strong and cancer free. We need you,

    1. Thank you, sweetie. I remember with my first one I was thinking, if I've got 6 months, I'll have a good time! :)
