There was a painful irony when France’s immediate response to the terrorist attacks in Paris was to close the borders. If they had closed the borders decades ago, they might have avoided this attack.

Someone once said that the First World War was the most stupid thing that European nations ever did. Countries on both sides of that war ended up worse off than before, whether they were on the winning side or the losing side.

History may yet record that an even greater stupidity, with even more catastrophic consequences in the long run, was the European nations’ decisions to import millions of people with a culture that was not merely very different, but hostile, to the culture, the values and the people of the Western world.

Even now, people who publicly warn of the dangers can be prosecuted in various European countries under “hate speech” laws.

    Truth.

And then, they turned around and did it again.

Now it looks like they're going to do it a third time.

I had a grandfather in Europe with the AEF in WW1, and two uncles there again in WW2 ( one was with Patton, and the other one was wounded by a mortar round during an ambush in the push into Germany; the firefight was so hot that the German MG fire alone was cutting down full grown trees ( his words ), and his unit had to leave him behind and retreat before they were all killed or captured. He was then captured and spent some time in a Slalag until it was liberated. He will take the shrapnel ( there is enough in him to set off a metal detector ) with him to his grave,

If a third time does happen, I don't think anybody in my bunch are up for a third round, thank you very much.

It's their yard; THEY can tidy it up next time.

  3. I agree with this basically, but the tons of depleted uranium (DU) ammunition cores we have sown over the Middle East have a half-life of 4.2 million years, according to my study. Of course, many of my friends say they're harmless. I guess they'd store reactor waste in local landfills. Heh.

  4. Little shaky after back surgery. I meant 4.2 billion years. Effectively the same. Heh.

Surf casting at Nag's Head at Easter. And a couple of other dreams, assuming the Republic holds together.
