The Great Divide–And Secession?

 texas secede 2

Of all the phenomena the 2016 election year has demonstrated, none is greater than the proof that this nation is deeply and probably irretrievably split into two political camps with very, very little in common. It is more than blue states and red states, it goes deeper: it is truth, jobs, security, and intelligence on one side and lies, coddling rich, porous borders, and stupidity on the other. And vice versa.

Perhaps the greatest evidence of this rift at this moment is to be found in Texas. A Public Policy Polling survey on August 16 found that 61 per cent of the people who support Trump there have vowed that if Hillary Clinton is elected president they will push for Texas to secede from the union.

Nothing less: secession.

  1. Mr Sale makes some gross mistakes here. America does NOT have "the largest military in the world" and hasn't had since the year 2005. In fact our military ALL OF IT is smaller than North Korea. Add to that that NO ONE with an IQ north of 60 still believes anything the government run media says, and damn few still believe that "the system" still works AT ALL. With all that and the RAGE Obama has created and the loss of hope in the American Dream.
All of this is making secession more likely than at any time since 1860.----Ray P.S. A note on the US Military. It has been downsized and stripped of equipment to pre WW2 levels. With its shift toward PC mandated by Obama and the "purge" of the leadership corps both officer and NCO any state that did leave the Union could do so almost without challenge. If the several states formed a confederacy there is bugger all that DC could do about it short of Nukes.

We are further apart today than in '61.
