There are common sense, fact-based ways to fix immigration in U.S.

 willing workers illustration

Taxpayers are subsidizing big business and a desire for cheap labor at a massive cost to society.

Our media is inundated with political narrative, misinformation and myths on immigration. A few examples]

Reducing immigration is “anti-immigrant” and “right-wing.”

Reducing immigration is no more “anti-immigrant” than birth control is “anti-children.” We limit our family size to give our children advantages. Reducing immigration protects jobs and wages for everyone, including legal immigrants. That’s why the U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform, chaired by civil rights icon Barbara Jordan, told Congress to severely reduce legal immigration. And The New York Times reported that President Bill Clinton proposed a one-third reduction in 1995. “Right-wingers”?

  1. Definition of "right wing": One who isn't a globalist.

Interestingly, Zerohedge published an article by a Marxist "socialist" who claimed small businesses and cooperatives are "true socialism", as opposed to state ownership.

Now, just how does small business fit into international socialism? No one knows.

Basically he was angry about the same core things as many libertarians are (the ones defending "true capitalism, which hasn't been tried yet").

Political labels are all but meaningless. Often the "left wing" people are really "right wing" and vice versa.

No one likes war, centralisation, rule by distant elites, giving up power to distant elites, etc. Many populist groups are against similar things.

The Left wing people are just told their enemies are rednecks. And the Right is sometimes tricked into defending big business and war. In truth, a great many people want similar things.

I don't see how small businesses could possibly be classified this way.

    2. If I link the article, don't repost it without a disclaimer that I am not in agreement with the author! :)

Without visiting the site of the original author, I'm just going to assume that he's from the former Soviet Union. They view "communism" and "fascism" differently than we do.

And Marx wrote many contradictory things. The end of "socialism" was supposed to be "communism", the "withering away of the state".

I just saw this quote today by Bakunin, who was an anarchist. (I am not an anarchist btw.):

"When the people are being beaten with a stick, they are not much happier if it is called 'the People's Stick.'"
