The St. Tammany Republican Parish Executive Committee is asking veterans organizations to avoid holding conferences, conventions and other events in New Orleans in the wake of the city's removal of four Confederate monuments. By an 8-0 vote, the committee on Monday (May 29) approved a resolution urging veterans not to visit New Orleans or any other city that has "removed memorials to fallen warriors, including those who served in the Confederate Army."
More @ NOLA
Yellow Belly Landreiu and his marxist compatriots have burned a bridge with me and everyone I know. When it comes to vacations/ballgames, we will spend our money elsewhere. What once was a city of culture and history has morphed into a cesspool which resembles a third world hell hole. The city has become a den of crime and corruption ran by pandering politicians who only serve themselves. As the many of the great old cities of Europa have sold their souls to the mooslim invaders so has New Orleans to the Socialist-Commie leaders of .gov The majority of the citizens of NO who parrot what they have been told about slavery and the dark history of the CSA are now more enslaved than ever. They have a new and more cruel master. They belong to the plantation of welfare.

DeleteWell said.
Thanks. It is simply the truth. As I have often times "ranted" before, what really gets my nanny goat is the fact that the "left" conveniently leaves out the historical fact that some of the largest slave owners in Louisiana were "free blacks".
DeleteQuite true.
DeleteHeck, NOLA was already off my vacation list for a few decades just because I didn't want to be murdered. Now I'm supposed to care about monuments? Write that place off permanently, guys. It's not like there is a shortage of other American cities to have your conferences.
