Schumer: Dems, not Russia, are to blame for loss to Trump

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) says that Democrats, not Russia, are to blame for Hillary Clinton’s loss to President Trump.

“When you lose to somebody who has 40 percent popularity, you don’t blame other things - [James] Comey, Russia - you blame yourself,” Schumer said in an interview Saturday with The Washington Post.

“So what did we do wrong? People didn’t know what we stood for, just that we were against Trump. And still believe that.”

Last year, much of the Democrats’ strategy hinged on criticism of Trump in hopes that the many controversies swirling around the GOP presidential candidate would damage down-ballot Republicans, a plan which largely failed.

In May, Clinton blamed former FBI Director Comey and Wikileaks for her election loss.

  1. Aw come one now, you sell the RINOs a little short on this one. We must give credit where credit is due. So allow me to list a few of the scalawags and carpetbaggers we should thank for the election of President Trump.

    House Squeaker Paul "Lyin" Ryan
    Senate Majority Looser Bitch McConnell
    Mitt...rhymes with sh** Romney
    John 'amigo' McLame
    his boyfriend Lindsey Grahmnesty
    Bob Dull
    Richard 'scalawag' Burr
    King George Bush
    King George Bush II
    John Kissass...er I mean Kasich

Certainly there are many, many others but my stomach has grown a bit weak after listing this rabble.

    Y'all have a nice day.

I'll leave room for others to add to the list as they see fit.

    Y'all have a nice day.

  2. What frightens me is how many voted for Hillary. She ran on war, poverty, and higher taxes. And she still nearly won.

Now Dems are picking up $15 minimum wage and infrastructure spending, which are actually not such terrible things. Infrastructure would be full of corruption, and the minimum wage would create unemployment (much suffering); but infrastructure could make the US more attractive to invest in, key word is "could" (infrastructure spending could also just waste money). And the minimum wage would make continued mass immigration difficult.

Plus, we'd then be able to condemn the minimum wage hike while benefiting from the reduced immigration.

And if there are only limited funds for spending, it's better that money be wasted in the US than overseas. Dems want to spend everything, but there are limits.

Anyway, I don't think I'll ever get used to how wonderfully things have changed thanks to Trump.

    1. Yes, we should be grateful for what he has accomplished and tried to do so far.(The constant chatter about he hasn't done everything he promised is just wasted energy) As Rand Paul said, every morning I wake up and think that Hillary could be President.:(
