Honolulu Police Dept. to Pot Smokers: ‘You Have 30 Days to Turn over Your Guns’

The Honolulu Police Department is demanding that medical marijuana users turn over their firearms.
In a letter dated Nov. 13, Police Chief Susan Ballard drew a line in the sand. It’s either your weed or your guns.

“Your medical marijuana use disqualifies you from ownership of firearms and ammunition,” the letter reads.

“If you currently own or have any firearms,” it continues, “you have 30 days upon receipt of this letter to voluntary surrender your firearms, permit, and ammunition to the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) or otherwise transfer ownership.”

  1. As the recently departed “Gomer Pyle” said, “Surprise, surprise, surprise.” Hawaii, as of 2016, become the first state to enter gun owners into an FBI database. Every “legal” gun owner in Hawaii is registered on a database. And this is why most of my guns were purchased not from gun stores, but from private individuals. And always for cash. They are not registered anywhere and never will be. However, I do also buy guns from gun shops. They are displayed for easy confiscation.

    2. For every caliber of ammunition, I buy, there is a recently (since 9-11) purchased corresponding firearm. All of these guns are proudly displayed, or in the gun safe. There is also a reasonable quantity of ammunition for each. Any other guns or ammunition I may or may not own would be secreted away.

I believe since 9-11, every registered firearm purchase has been recorded and kept by the government. I also think they track ammunition purchases. For the last 20-years, the government has been recording our lives. Anything purchased with a check, credit, or debit card has been logged and archived. And yes, that goes for any “survival” products. The government has the information stored, and can profile you, from your purchases.

  2. Supposedly, this gun confiscation cannot be enforced d/t
the fed gov not recognizing the legality of weed.
    Again, states against feds.
