No, Democrats — Keeping Your Own Money Isn't 'Theft'

Via Billy

"A heist," "looting the federal treasury," "ransacking the middle class." Democrats truly have no shame.

Half a lifetime ago, it was an easy sell: Tax cuts were the mechanism to put more of your money back into your pocket. Buoyed by leadership from a Republican in the White House, congressional Democrats fell in line and enacted tax cuts that supercharged the American economy to the tune of more than a million jobs in just one month.

Despite that documented success in the 1980s, as well as the proof of presidential leadership on the issue before and since, this most recent reform only passed because Republicans stuck together and took advantage of reconciliation rules in the Senate to thwart minority Democrats from bottling it up.

So what brought on the change?

  1. I have seen, quite literally, leftards in local papers saying that every single dime you earn is the government's property, and that you should be grateful for whatever scraps government lets you have.

OK, that's my paraphrase of what they said, but that's clearly what they meant.

    Ship 'em all to Venezuela.

    In the meantime... MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  2. There was a woman who owned a plant in New England who did not
take taxes out of employees checks. She wanted the employees
to take their own taxes out so they could really see what was
coming out of their hard earned money. When one gets their
payroll checks, the money has already been stolen.
Eventually, the feds got involved and forced her to take taxes
out of payroll checks. I don't know if there is a law which
mandates employers to take out taxes - seems it would be the
    worker's responsibility.
