After a partial shutdown over the weekend that spilled into Monday, the Senate has passed a bill that would fund the government through Feb. 8 and extend the State Children’s Health Insurance Program for six years. The House is expected to quickly follow and get the bill to President Trump’s desk. In exchange for Democrats agreeing to provide the needed votes to pass a funding bill, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has promised Democrats a vote on immigration in the coming weeks.

I wonder if a vote on immigration in coming weeks means the Republicans have sold us out , again, on the issue. We don't need 800,000 aliens being granted citizenship. I thought when Clinton waved his magic wand and made millions of illegals into citizens , he promised it would never happen again.
ReplyDeleteI went to the Do Not Call page this morning to list another robo caller, and the page came up and said due to the shut down, it would not be available. I can live without it.
It's only a vote so we have to keep their feet to the fire.
