Your humble photographer with Co' and Thuy going to a restaurant below. My '69 Datsun Bluebird in the foreground.

I bought a Patek Philippe watch, and had the band replaced with a wide 18 carat gold intricately woven one, which was actually a ladies bracelet. I also bought a dinner ring in 18 carat gold with a very nice colored Jade.

  1. Nostalgia! You must be going thru the old pics. The nose
trick was pulled on me a few times when I was a kid. Kids
are so gullible as they should be. Plenty of time for
    sophistication.
Patek Philippe watch - hey buddy have you got a dime.

That and the ring were stolen in the US. :( The watches go for $18K new now and I don't know if the older ones are worth more or not....never-mind the 18c bracelet. What a shame. I can't remember what I paid for the watch but I'd guess maybe $100/200. :(:(

  2. What a shame, indeed. Heartbreaking. The older Patek Philippe
watches are collector pieces. Sorry for your loss. How did
    the pieces get stolen?

    1. Thanks. My parents moved to Virginia Beach to be close to my Sister when they were in their 80's. My Sister packed for them along with one 'loyal' servant and they were never seen again. My fault as my Sister asked me to come but I was in CA then. Besides that a cannon ball from the War was lost which had been given to me by my neighbor http://www.namsouth.com/viewtopic.php?t=2211&highlight=bowen

plus many arrowheads and much else I imagine that I don't remember. :(
