When Wayne LaPierre said on CBS’s Face the Nation that the ATF needed to “do its job” with respect to bump stocks, one wonders if he was asking the agency to turn thousands of law-abiding gun owners into outlaws. Because that, my friends, is exactly what is happening.
If you currently own a reciprocating stock you will soon be in possession of a machine gun. Unlawful possession of a machine gun is a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, according to the DOJ

The Guns America link is sending me to a google login page. Any idea what's up?
ReplyDeleteThanks and I screwed it up but it's fixed now.
DeleteI don't own one, but I believe when the "bump stocks" were being sold they were just shaped pieces of plastic and anyone, even a 5 year old could purchase one. If so they sales were not recorded so how are the ATF gestapo going to take them? And if you own one are you really going to march down to the cop shop and hand it in?
ReplyDeleteYou can use a big rubber band instead. Don't know if they will ban this also. :)
Delete14" piece of string works, too.
DeleteDoes it need to be a special kind of string?
DeleteThe moment the NRA came out with this statement I knew what was going to happen. I wrote them the next day and expressed my total dissatisfaction of their statement. They never bothered to respond to me. I have not renewed my membership and went over to GOA.
ReplyDeleteGood move.
DeleteI made the move sometime ago. Now I pay double dues. What I might have paid to the nra surrender monkey's
DeleteThanks.

Is there a purchase list of bumpstocks?
ReplyDeleteAre they depending on a good faith system of turning them in, and confiscating more during investigations and sting operations?

DeleteI wouldn't bother with turning them in and I think with no grandfather cause, there will be massive non-compliance.
It will not be long now. The camels nose is under the tent. While I have no personal interest in the bump stocks and would never own one. This move is terrifying in what it means. I understand the political reasoning. It deflates and removes the left's power. However, I believe this is a tactical mistake.
ReplyDeleteThe left functions by being bullies. They simply shout down any opposition. That has been their standard operation for over fifty years. Under the financing of Soros, they have formed several spear tips. And all these spears make the push against guns much bigger, than it actually is. I believe by buckling to demands on bump stocks. It only empowers those who will stop at nothing but a total gun confiscation.
We see the little Hog, backed by Soros, destroying another Fox personality. We see more companies cave in to the bullies on the left. Although a tiny minority, they are vocal and with Soros’ cash, they seem like a large movement. Many perhaps even most of the “evil internet bots” are financed by Soros, pushing his agenda. This whole “ban guns” movement is tiny, when compared to massive footprint it presents. I would estimate, those that oppose gun bans vastly outnumber the banners.
The time is long past we stay the silent patriots. It is time to begin using the same tactics as the left. Push back and push back hard. Punish every company that kneels to bullies. It is time to show them the other side is a bigger bully. Unfortunately, we have jobs and work. We are tired, we have families. We have children. All of these take our time. We must rise above our exhaustion. We cannot march in the streets. We have lives and responsibilities. However, we must take 5 to 10 minutes each day and be heard. Write one email, make one phone call. Make your voice heard, while there is still time.
