The Future of the Jews: More of the Past?

It is strange: Jews have been disliked everywhere and in all times. The dislike  appears in odd places.

I was astonished to find that my Nepalese trekking guides were intensely hostile to Jews. They said that Jews (actually Israelis in most cases I think, but the Nepalese do not seem to make the distinction) were loud, demanding, and always trying to force down the guides’ fees. Historically the hostility has often been powerful and, not infrequently, murderous.  Jews have been expelled from country after country, excluded from polite society, subjected to quotas, and required to live in certain regions. Why?

  1. Usury, kabbala black magic, the baybylonian talmud, and human sacrifice of christian children mostly, have been the reasons they have been hated and expelled.

  2. Crap.

The Blood Libel is one of the oldest lies, but it's useful to those who hate Jews anyway.

Consumption of blood is FORBIDDEN in Judaism.

  3. The Book of Mormon teaches us that we should be grateful to the Jews, for the Jews gave us our Holy Bible, and Jesus Christ was Jewish.

When I visited Israel, because I stayed at a hotel in Tel Aviv, a Jewish city, I was the only Christian (i.e., I'm a Mormon) in Jewish tour groups, and I had a grand time, seeing the historic Biblical sites, learning about Judaism, dancing the Hora, and singing Jewish campfire songs.

"Some of my best friends are Jews, and my sister is married to one."

(That last sentence is tongue-in-cheek sarcasm, because that's what white apologists are always saying about blacks, in a feeble attempt to conceal racial prejudice.)

    2. Actually, Brock, that's a classic Alinsky tactic. Consider the two possibilities:

      1. You have black/Jewish/whatever friends - because you have them as friends. And you cite these people as proof you're not racist, because you're not. But it gets hurled in your face.

      2. You actually don't have blacks/Jews/whatever as friends, and that gets held against you.

You cannot win. If you do / do not have such people in your life, they will smear you as RAAAAACIST regardless. To get you to shut up. To OTHER you, to put anything you say outside the bounds so that they don't even have to counter your arguments, no matter how factual, reasoned, or logical they are.

      Thanks.
