Germany's Largest Public TV News Broadcaster: Syria Chemical Attack "Most Likely Staged"

A senior correspondent for German state media broadcast ZDF heute stunned his European audience during a report from on the ground in Syria when he gave a straightforward and honest account of his findings while investigating what happened in Douma. The veteran reporter, Uli Gack, interviewed multiple eyewitnesses of the April 7 alleged chemical attack and concluded of the testimonials, "the Douma chemical attack is most likely staged, a great many people here seem very convinced."

It appears that all local Syrians encountered by the German public broadcast reporter were immediately dismissive of the widespread allegation that the Syrian government gassed civilians, which the US, UK, France, and Israel used a pretext for launching missile strikes on Damascus.

  1. I also believe its likely staged. But still I have no reason to trust anything from a major media source. Not American. Not German. Not Zero Hedge. I don't care about what happens in Syria. I only care that America doesn't let them come here. And we send back the ones who are here. Then they can gas as many of each other as they like. Or use artillery and bayonets. Not my problem.

  2. Pretext: a reason given in justification of a course of action that is not the real reason.

So in other words he is blatantly accusing England, France and the U.S. of committing the bombing or staged bombing. And yet has zero proof. I suppose it is possible that the rebels staged it but then it would not be a "pretext" if those three nations believed it and retaliated. NO! He think's it was a "pretext". So who to believe? The guy making wild ass claims?

  3. There is no reason to believe anyone. It's not our problem. Public school and TV teaches us that we are supposed to have opinions about everything. But in reality, very few things really matter to us. If we learn to be uninvolved in things that aren't our problems, then we don't need to care who is lying to us, why, and bare the conscience for their actions based on that info.
