It was in the early 70's I worked as a nite auditor for a
ReplyDeletebig chain motel. One nite a man checked in driving a blue
Ferrari - the car was the talk of motel staff. Early in
the a.m. I heard a ROAR - the car starting. When he checked
out he said he had numerous speeding tickets as the Ferrari
would not operate at 35-45 mph - the slow speed would harm
the engine - he had to drive at least 70 to 80 mph to protect
the engine. Thus the speeding tickets. Impressive.
