    1. Infuriating seems to be my most used word these days.

  2. The only hatred being fostered is by the students, in their immature minds. They should spend their days and nights at study as I did. Regardless, they ignore the fact that the past is a great teacher, stewards of history would never approve of this act. If they came to Carolina, as they say to see the light, my guess is they are in indeed frightened and confused, and therefore stand little chance of ever being leaders.

  3. One last thing, do they even know (like the LSU Tigers mascot is named after a regiment of Suaves in the Confederate Army) that Tar heel is the civil war soldiers nickname for North Carolina's troops in said conflict that brought Silent Sam to them and all this hatred and bigotry with it ? Great Day to be a Tar heel?
More like a great day to dishonor your school state and country.

  4. How sickening, ignorant and uninformed on the real history. They
interrupt history the way they want. The War of Northern
Aggression was forced on the South, i.e. money. The South
financially supported the North. Slavery, a whole lot to do
about nothing. Whites were slaves first and mostly died.
Southerners: They also talk about Southern pride but seem to keep taking it in the ass...~TS

  5. So exactly who are the "Undergraduate Executive Branch Officers"?

Does anyone know what laws were broken by the mob that destroyed "Silent Sam"? Unlawful assembly? Destruction of public property? Violation of the 2015 state law regarding confederate memorials? I'd like to see those responsible expelled from UNC and then prosecuted. I'd really like to know if my tax dollars supported any of them.

"Student Government" is a contradiction in terms.

A student is there to learn what they don't know.
A government is by those who are learned.

All persons identifiable at the destruction of culturally significant memorials should be prosecuted and fined heavily for that destruction.
Any employees of the university who enabled this destruction, whether by ignorance or design, should also by prosecuted, fired and fined heavily.

They better search for a new President then.
