Lost my job

One of my regular contributors, "David," and the owner of davidhuntpe.blogspot.com, has lost his job thanks to a "Special Snowflake SJW."  He's a Mechanical Engineer in New Hampshire and while looking for a new full-time job is also starting a consultancy.  His specialization is plastic product design, and can also help with obtaining competitive-priced molding tools.  He has a focus in designing products for manufacturing and assembly.  Check out his portfolio at
https://davidhuntpe.wordpress.com/portfolio/

One of his prior consulting customers said: "This is the first time [in launching such products] that the first housing prototype went together well."

For reference, this is the product being discussed: http://sage-design.net/GenGuard.html

He is in the process of getting a computer with CAD, but once that is up and running he can do CAD modeling and production drawings.  His current client - he has one - has gotten not only designs and drawings, but detailed assembly instructions.  He is also good at DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly), Value Analysis / Value Engineering, and helping to identify potential areas for cost reductions.

He's hoping to scrounge up enough business to make a go of being independent.  Also, please take a look at his linkedin profile:www.linkedin.com/in/davidohuntpellc

    1. Probably some one complained about his adamant non-PC.

  2. A kernel of advice to David: HR is NOT your friend and the larger the company - the more exposed the business is to the whims and currents of SJW tirades - the more likely you are to be bait on the hook for some bigger fish. I was with a big name international manufacturer and fell victim to my integrity; I was caught in that same net by a conference room blowhard whos only managerial qualification is his "Executive Hair".
Stay independent, small, contractor, etc. Best on your next move.
