  1. Hi Brock,
    "THANKS!!!!!,I needed that!!!!"
Of all the old "R&B, Rockabilly, Country, Elvis, etc...." Chuck's "Johnny B. Goode" in my books is the one that was the "Beginning!!" of "ROCK AND ROLL!!"
Back in '57 It was my Maternal Grandmother from Chicago that sent me and my sister down here in La., a funky box "record player" and a stack of 45 rpm singles!! Of that batch.... one survived!! In my archives, "CHESS RECORDS" C. Berry "Johnny B. Goode" and it still plays!!
    Blue skies Bubba!!!!,

  2. I'm a big fan of early rock & roll, but back in the day Chuck Berry wasn't one of my favorites. Not really sure why. Over the years I've gotten a much greater appreciation of his highly innovate playing and story telling. That dude could really wail on an ax. I even ended up featuring one of his lesser known songs every time that I would DJ a party or picnic. What's cool about this tune is that he has background singers in it. Not something he had in most of his releases. And it's another good story that he tells..........
