Franklin Armory’s New “Reformation” Isn’t a Pistol or Rifle and Doesn’t Need a Stamp (Full Review)

If you purchase firearms based solely on their ability to help you survive the zombie apocalypse, you might want to skip this one. But if you have a sense of humor, a love of weird firearms, and a healthy desire to Stick It to The Man, Franklin Armory’s new Reformation is exactly what you’ve been looking for.

Franklin Armory built its reputation pushing the boundaries of gun control regulations – and sticking it to The Man that is California’s DOJ. They always stay within the “four corners of the law,” as company President Jay Jacobson told me via phone, but they’ve been exploring the dark recesses of those corners since their founding over 20 years ago.

  1. Be careful about weapons that play close to the edge of the rules.

BATFE is well known to keep moving the line of rulings back and forth.

    Like AR pistols. Legal now...

  2. Probably better off with more conventional appearing, but just as effective weapon, like a Ruger mini 14 or mini 30 vs an AR-15 or AK-47. Checking through the House Democrat gun ban bill, I noticed dozens of semi-auto rifles with various features were on the ban list, but not the Ruger rifles or an M1A which is a conventional looking rifle, shipped with a 10 rd mag and marketed for use as a hunting rifle by Springfield Armory. But it is a formidable, 7.62 self defense battle rifle. --Ron W

  3. M1A

That'll work for me even Thumb and all. :)

  4. Brock, "even thumb and all", no, not the M1. I was talking about the M1A which is the semi-auto version of the select-fire M14. --Ron W

    1. No, I have an M1A, the semi auto version of the M-14, mag fed 7.62x51. Mine looks exactly like this as it ships with a 10 rd mag:

I've acquired a few 20 rd mags for it too. --Ron W

    2. Thanks and I see a field grade Garand is $650. Seems when my military school went under after 163 years (Vietnam backlash) they sold their rifles for $40 a piece.

    3. $40!! Wow! What a bargain for an incredible rifle! As you probably know, Gen Patton called the M-1, "the greatest battlefield implement ever devised." I remember during the Obama Administration, South Korea had, if I recall correctly, 1 million M-1 milsurps which could be brought back to be sold to American citizens. Reportedly then Sec of State, Hillary Clinton, blocked that lest "they fall into the wrong hands". Yeah, right! These authoritarians consider the wrong hands anyone not under their control!! I also remember reading that the Clinton Administration destroyed a large number of M-14's, which I assume could be modified to semi-auto only, instead of selling them back to the public. What a travesty!! FEAR THE GOVERNMENT THAT FEARS YOUR GUNS!!! --Ron W

  5. "Wrong hands" in that context is anyone that opposes the Klinton's and their agenda which is the same as the Deep State, One Worlders, etc.
