Possible but my guess would me tank and artillery rounds from both sides.
It was destroyed during the 1972 North Vietnamese Easter Offensive evidently. It hasn't been rebuilt because of the tensions between Vietnam and the Vatican, evidently, according to the Wikipedia article.
I guess there wasn't enough money to do it between '72 and '75.
