No matter what the reason, we should all be able to agree that sending a suitcase full of dead birds – from anywhere, to anywhere – is not right.

The ordeal is made more disturbing by the fact that the suitcase was sent from China, which is currently dealing with the coronavirus and has struggled in the past with a bird flu epidemic. WTHR reported Monday that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents intercepted a package at Dulles International Airport in Virginia that was filled with small dead birds.

  1. Would this qualify as a Biological Weapon, with an Economic Target? Coronavirus is a Bio weapon. It's affecting a large swath of humans, and multiple levels, and areas, of economics globally. The Bird Flu has decimated the Chinese Chicken Production. The Swine Flu has wiped out the Chinese Pork industry. Therefore, I ask: Are We being attacked by China, with multiple contagions? Can somebody check with General Tso, and Colonel Sanders for their experienced input and/or takeout? We might need reservations. That definitely looks like more than "Four and Twenty" in the bag, to me. Can't say if it's sweet or sour. But my best guess would be that it was foul. Pass the Wasabi, we ain't skeered.

  2. In a different article about the bust I saw a picture of the birds in a sealed package (barely visible top right in this picture). That leads me to believe they actually opened the package after confiscation. It seems to me that if the worry is avian pathogens contagious to humans, the only place to open the package would be in a controlled lab setting. I'm shaking my head at the apparent stupidity.

  3. Hedy Brock, here is an article from Canada Free Press about the REAL THREATS associated with Bio Weapons. Coronavirus isn't one of them on a large scale. Cheers!
