Everytown Survey Indicates Support for Gun Control Has Surged During Pandemic

Support for gun control has surged during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a new national survey commissioned by Everytown for Gun Safety, the gun-control organization largely funded by failed 2020 presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg.

Everytown tapped the pollsters at Global Strategy Group last month to ask 1,500 Americans whether gun control was “more important” now than it was before the outbreak.

Specifically, two issues were highlighted in the poll (conducted April 17-22): background checks on all gun sales (aka universal background checks) and disarming domestic abusers.

  1. Another fake poll. Guess those folks waiting in line at the gun shops were just sight seeing. What we need is politician control, called term limits, with no working in government after serving term.

      That would be great.

  2. Years ago in califoricate ,we voted and won on no queer marriage. Courts said a majority could not take a person's rights. Does that work with gun owners.

  3. I get tired of lie after lie. Since the NAZI dictators locked people on their homes. Gun sales have done nothing but go up. I guess more people buying guns equates to wanting gun control.

  6. If a poll asked if all gun control laws should apply to everyone, you know, according to "the rule of law" and "no one is above the law", I think most would say yes.

"...Congress can make no law which will not have its full operation on themselves and their
friends, as well as on the great mass of the society."
-- James Madison, The Federalist Papers, No. 57.

But, I doubt that the gun law politicians would support that! That's because they want to take from us what they have and keep for themselves. That's the essence of criminality and tyranny. --Ron W

  7. Gee. A bunch of lying anti-gun activists create a poll that "some people" agree with them. Good thing my rights are not up for a vote, no matter how many people want to take them away.

    1. Yup.Where do you go after North Myrtle Beach?

"In other words, there are laws already on the books that satisfy the widespread public demand for those policies. Ergo, no new gun control is necessary!"

  9. Only 1,500 people were polled? And that's supposed to represent all of America and be sufficient reason for changing gun laws? That's less than 0.0000005% of the population.
