Allen West blasted Joe Biden over his treatment of National Guard members while on NewsmaxTV.
West called the treatment of the troops “appalling” and “disgusting.”
National Guard troops were forced to sleep in a parking garage near the Capital.
Now several Americans, military members, and politicians are speaking out about this national disgrace.
Was it a case of contrary commands from a chaotic command?
ReplyDeleteI just read elsewhere - from people on with .mil inside knowledge that what happened was as follows:
- The Secret Service wanted to sweep the Capitol Building. So all NG were ordered (by who? not clear) to vacate.
- Capitol Police coordinated with the management of the parking garage to provide space for the NG.
- Due to complaints from Congress critters and staffers who found it problematic to park their cars, the NG was ordered to vacate to the 1st floor of the garage only.
- MaligNancy Piglosi sought to take command away from Capitol Police and NG command.
Still, it seems no one surmounted the logistical problems of having 25,000 NG pulling 12 hour shifts inside the green zone. It very well seems to be a case of too many cooks in the kitchen. I do not understand how NG would allow for anyone but their own to issue commands. A real cluster.

Thanks and Pelosi needs to go home and have some ice cream, just imagine her trying to get the codes away from Trump. Infuriating. Yes, and at least Texas and FL have finally come to the forefront on this.
Also, as a remedy to the crowding of NG, the 12 hour shifts were reduced to 6 hours. This allowed for a faster rotation of NG. Supposedly this allowed for smaller numbers coming off shift at any given time, thereby alleviating crowding. And it presented the condition of decreased sleeping arrangements. I suppose shorter shifts would require less sleep.
