Communism only looks good to those lacking common sense and drive.. People who believe in getting what we work for and working for what we get have common sense and the ability to reason at least enough to reject what history has taught us always turns out badly for the masses. Communism/socialism is are forms of government that only benefits those who hold power. The administrative state benefits because they always without fail take care of themselves, their family, and their friends, first and foremost. Of course the elite benefit as they have a directly benefit from our hard work, taking our property, our land our businesses. In contrast everyone else starves or gets murdered for complaining about starving.
