Video Shows California Police Break Into Private Home, Attack Homeowner Filming

 A new video shows police from Cotati, California forcing their way into a home after a supposed domestic violence call and, after breaking down the homeowners door without a warrant, tazing the person filming their tyranny.

In the video the person filming reacts to one of the officers saying they are going to kick the door in by reciting sections of the 4th Amendment and making it clear that no violence had gone on at their house.

When asked by the officers why he refused to allow 4 heavily armed men invade his house, the person filming replied:

"Because we don't live in a police state, sir. Martial law has not been established in this country."

Interior Department Spends $472,150 to Train Fish to ‘Recognize and Avoid Predators’

The Department of Interior is providing $472,150 grant funding to increase the survival of two endangered fish species by “training” them to “recognize and avoid predators.”

 

“The objective of the proposed project is to determine if training increases Bonytail and Razorback Sucker survival when exposed to predators,” the grant abstract states. “This proposal builds upon the 2012 Bureau of Reclamation assistance agreement with the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) tasked with investigating the potential for training Bonytail and Razorback Suckers to recognize and avoid predators.

“One of the early conclusions of the prior work is that the schooling behavior of Bonytail may allow untrained fish to show improved survival because they recognize predator avoidance behaviors exhibited by trained individuals,” the abstract states.

Recall of Anti-Second Amendment Colorado Senate President John Morse Gets Real Traction

 

Basic Freedom Defense Fund (BFDF) A Colorado grassroots group is heading the recall of State Senate President John Morse (D) Colorado Springs, for his “…aggressive attacks and for actively leading legislating against the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights”–Anthony Garcia, BFDF spokesman. According to Garcia–”Personnel working for BFDF to help collect signatures for Senator Morse’s recall were the subject of known erroneous radio attack ads for the Morse political machine headed by Ed Hall, Chairman of the Denver Democrats and the filing agent for a recently established Morse anti-recall group called “A Whole Lot of People for John Morse.”

Hall is known for referring to Colorado’s second-largest city, Colorado Springs, as a “…right-wing, religious whack-job stronghold.” on his Democratic Party website biography.*

Thousands of concerned and outraged Colorado registered voters in Morse’s district have already signed petitions to get the recall of Morse on the next ballot. BFDF staffers expect to gather far more signatures for Morse’s recall than are necessary.

Backfire: ABC, CNN, NBC Call for White House to Release Benghazi Emails

***UPDATE: NBC's senior White House correspondent joined the chorus Wednesday. On his MSNBC show, "The Daily Rundown," Chuck Todd looked into the camera and said, "Attention White House: Release all the emails." The headline has been updated to add NBC.

Assuming they are the ones who leaked to CNN an email written by Ben Rhoades (a Deputy National Security Advisor close to the President), the White House might have been too clever by half Tuesday. An act that was obviously meant to pour water on the Benghazi fire started by an ABC News report, has only ended up being gasoline. Now both CNN and ABC have joined conservative media in calling for the White House to release all the emails surrounding the editing of the CIA talking points.

Friday, in a bombshell report that blew the long-simmering Libya scandal wide open and right into the arms of the mainstream media, ABC's Jonathan Karl reported that an email written by Rhoades specifically mentioned the State Department's concerns about the CIA talking points. IRS faces class action lawsuit over theft of 60 million medical records

The Internal Revenue Service is now facing a class action lawsuit over allegations that it improperly accessed and stole the health records of some 10 million Americans, including medical records of all California state judges.

According to a report by Courthousenews.com, an unnamed HIPAA-covered entity in California is suing the IRS, alleging that some 60 million medical records from 10 million patients were stolen by 15 IRS agents. The personal health information seized on March 11, 2011, included psychological counseling, gynecological counseling, sexual/drug treatment and other medical treatment data.

   "This is an action involving the corruption and abuse of power by several Internal Revenue Service agents," the complaint reads. "No search warrant authorized the seizure of these records; no subpoena authorized the seizure of these records; none of the 10,000,000 Americans were under any kind of known criminal or civil investigation and their medical records had no relevance whatsoever to the IRS search. IT personnel at the scene, a HIPPA facility warning on the building and the IT portion of the searched premises, and the company executives each warned the IRS agents of these privileged records," it continued.

Orrin Hatch: Acting IRS Chief Misled Me on Targeting Tea Party Groups

 

Sen. Orrin Hatch declared in an exclusive Newsmax TV interview that Acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller "basically misled me and purposefully did so" when he told legislators three times last year that tea party groups were not being targeted by the agency.

"He purposely misled me because he knew better," the Utah Republican told Newsmax on Tuesday. "That bothers me quite a bit.

"One reason they're apologizing right now is they know the investigative arm is about to take them to task -- and there are whistleblowers, too, who know that this has been wrong," Hatch said.

Soldier Gets Rare Double-Arm Transplant

Perched on a therapy table at Johns Hopkins Hospital, one of the few quadruple amputees from the Iraq War reached up over his head with both hands and launched a pink ball to the Marine Corps commandant.

Five months ago, Army Sgt. Brendan Marrocco’s arms belonged to someone else.

Marrocco, who was blown up in 2009, is the first soldier to receive a double arm transplant -- and just the seventh successful recipient in the United States.

Marrocco didn’t have any physical sensation of the plastic ball in his hands, but he managed a pretty good zip as he played catch with Gen. James Amos on Wednesday.

“Mentally, they’re all mine,” Marrocco said about his new limbs. “Physically, I can’t feel them.”
Doctors estimate it could be two years before he gets feeling all the way down to his finger tips, as nerve tissue regenerates about an inch a month.

In December, a 16-surgeon team at Hopkins attached two cadaver arms to Marrocco in a 13-hour operation that started at 1 a.m. His remaining nerves, muscles, bones, blood vessels and tendons in his upper arms were intricately connected to the donor arms, and eventually, as the nerves come to life down the arm, the limbs will move like they were his own -- albeit less than 100 percent functional.
