President Robert Mugabe on Wednesday indicated that the few remaining commercial white farmers will be removed from the land they are occupying, whether they bought it or acquired otherwise.

Mugabe told thousands of rural farmers in Mashonaland West province during the launch of a new A1 Model Settlement Tenure Permit that white people in Zimbabwe should not own land although they would be allowed to own businesses.

“I was with Mashonaland West provincial party chairperson Temba Mliswa yesterday (Tuesday) and he gave me a list of 35 white farmers we hear are still on the land. I am told they are being protected in some instances by cabinet ministers and politicians in their specific constituencies. That is wrong and we will not allow that,” said Mugabe. “We will have no mercy for white people regarding the land, they cannot own our soil.”

If You Like Being Insulted, Do We Have A Virginia Gun Store For You

 

A Virginia Citizens Defense League member brought to our attention a “No loaded guns” sign on the door of Absolute Outdoors in New Kent.

EM Ed Levine sent them an email to confirm that policy.

First, let me say that many gun stores have a “no loaded guns” policy.

That’s because, unlike pretty much any other public place around, people are actually drawing guns and handling them in a gun store. That said, many stores have a better policy of saying that a person can have a holstered, loaded handgun as long as the gun never leaves the holster while the owner is in the store.

So, if the “no loaded guns” was indeed Absolute Outdoors’s policy, it wouldn’t be the best policy, but it wouldn’t be uncommon for such a business.

However, the response Ed got back was, well, unbelievable and uncalled for.

Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, says President Obama is acting like a monarch in unilaterally changing immigration policy and threatening to do it again on a grander scale.

The congressman says Obama is personally responsible for the surge of illegals, including unaccompanied minors, across our southern border, and Congress should begin a process of withholding funding for any department of government that refuses to enforce the existing laws.

“I would greatly prefer Congress actually do something. I take executive action only when we have a serious problem, a serious issue, and Congress chooses to do nothing,” said Obama.

In a White House Rose Garden statement on Monday, Obama ripped congressional Republicans for refusing to approve comprehensive immigration reform and said they left him with no choice but to pursue reform on his own.

While the president may be frustrated, Gohmert says Obama surrendered the authority to make or change laws the minute he left the legislative branch of government.

“He didn’t run for the legislature. He left the legislature and ran for president.

The Skies Over Iraq Are About to Get Interesting

 

Iraq-Iran: Multiple news services have reported that Iran has supplied Iraq with Su-25 ground attack fighters to help it counter ISIL. The Aviationist was the first to report the arrival yesterday of seven Iranian Su-25s at Imam Ali air base, formerly known as Tallil. The seven join the 10 or 12 received last week from Russia.

Comment: Open sources indicate that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps air force had about a dozen Su-25s in its inventory.The Aviationist reported that 10 Iranian pilots accompanied the aircraft. It also said there are five Iraqi air force pilots qualified to fly Su-25s.

Iraq yesterday requested Russian assistance in meeting Iraq's need for supplies and weapons for the Su-25.

With the arrival of US Apache gunship helicopters, four air forces will be flying missions in Iraq, including the Syrian air force. Some news services have reported that Iranian fighter jets have been flying missions against ISIL targets for at least a week. Air traffic control should be interesting.

Army: Back to the .45?

 

After many years of service, the Army is looking to replace the venerable Beretta M9 9mm handgun with something else:

The U.S. Army is moving forward to replace the Cold War-era M9 9mm pistol with a more powerful handgun that also meets the needs of the other services.

As the lead agent for small arms, the Army will hold an industry day July 29 to talk to gun makers about the joint, Modular Handgun System or MHS.

The MHS would replace the Army’s inventory of more than 200,000 outdated M9 pistols and several thousand M11 9mm pistols with one that has greater accuracy, lethality, reliability and durability, according to Daryl Easlick, a project officer with the Army’s Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Benning, Georgia.
