Flynn Charged With Lying to FBI, Clapper Still Free After Committing Clear Perjury

Former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn has been charged with “willfully and knowingly” lying to the FBI about his conversations with Russia’s ambassador, charges that James Clapper has been able to avoid over 4 years after committing clear perjury when he lied under oath about the NSA’s mass surveillance of Americans.

“The charging document states that Flynn made a false statement to the FBI when he stated that in December 2016 he did not ask Kislyak “to refrain from escalating the situation in response to sanctions that the United States had imposed against Russia that same day; and Flynn did not recall the Russian ambassador subsequently telling him that Russia had chosen to moderate its response to those sanctions as a result of his request,” reports CNN.

While Flynn is expected to plead guilty to making false statements, Obama’s DNI head Clapper was able to commit brazen perjury with no consequences whatsoever.

CNN: White House claims Obama admin approved Flynn calls with Russian ambassador

 

The White House said on Friday that it was the Obama administration that authorized former national security adviser Michael Flynn's contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during President Trump's transition, according to CNN.

Flynn pleaded guilty on Friday to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Kislyak in the month before Trump took office, the first current or former Trump White House official brought down by special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russia's election meddling.

Court records indicate that his communications with Kislyak were directed by a Trump transition official, with multiple news outlets reporting that official was Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner.

DOJ Issues Arrest Warrant for Illegal Immigrant Acquitted in Kate Steinle Murder Case

The Department of Justice has issued a federal warrant for the arrest of an illegal immigrant who on Thursday was acquitted of murder charges in the 2015 killing of Kate Steinle in San Francisco.

A jury found Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, a Mexican immigrant who has been deported multiple times only to return to the U.S., not guilty of murder and charges of involuntary manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon. He was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The Department of Justice on Friday unsealed the arrest warrant, which accuses Zarate of violating his supervised release, in the Western District of Texas, the Hill reported.

Honolulu Police Dept. to Pot Smokers: ‘You Have 30 Days to Turn over Your Guns’

 

The Honolulu Police Department is demanding that medical marijuana users turn over their firearms.
In a letter dated Nov. 13, Police Chief Susan Ballard drew a line in the sand. It’s either your weed or your guns.

“Your medical marijuana use disqualifies you from ownership of firearms and ammunition,” the letter reads.

“If you currently own or have any firearms,” it continues, “you have 30 days upon receipt of this letter to voluntary surrender your firearms, permit, and ammunition to the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) or otherwise transfer ownership.”

Trump: Kate Steinle verdict more reason to 'BUILD THE WALL!'

President Trump said Friday that the not guilty verdict against Kate Steinle's alleged killer, Jose Inez Garcia Zarate, is more reason to secure the U.S.-Mexico border by building a border wall.

"The Kate Steinle killer came back and back over the weakly protected Obama border, always committing crimes and being violent, and yet this info was not used in court. His exoneration is a complete travesty of justice. BUILD THE WALL!" Trump tweeted Friday morning.

Zarate, a Mexican man who was deported five times, was found not guilty of fatally shooting the 32-year-old woman in an apparent random incident in California more than two years ago.

Growing up on a North Carolina farm was hard years ago. Our friend always says his family had all of the necessities in the ’40s and ’50s, but none of the extras. For instance, there were very few pictures on the walls. Money had to be spent elsewhere.

His parents did without some of the extras to make sure their children had more. When he became an adult, he wanted to show his appreciation for what they had done.

So, on special occasions like birthdays or Christmas, he tried to make sure his parents had special gifts. He would ask them what they wanted and make sure he bought whatever they asked for.

One year, he asked his mother what she would REALLY like to have. She said she really wanted a water picture. So, our friend drove to the nearest big town and began to look for a water picture. He went to several stores before he found exactly what he wanted.

The picture he found was a mountain scene. It had a waterfall cascading down the mountainside, into a pond. There were shadows and silhouettes in the pond. Around all the water was a large forest. The colors were all vibrant — almost intense. I could imagine the whole picture as our friend described it.

I could almost feel the coolness of the water. This picture was such a beautiful and peaceful scene. Our friend knew his mother would be pleased.

It was a big picture. So, he wrapped it all carefully and went to give it to his mother.

Arriving there, he handed his mother the water picture. He noticed his mother seemed to have a puzzled look on her face.

After she unwrapped the water picture, she began to laugh and laugh. He wasn’t sure what was so funny. He thought the picture was beautiful!

When she finally quit laughing, his mother explained. She wanted a water PITCHER, not a water PICTURE.

The next day, he went and bought his mother a tree‑green colored pottery water pitcher.

To this day, the family still laughs. His father gave him the water PITCHER when his mother died. It is still one of his most treasured possessions!
