Chicago Police Union Wants Feds To Charge Looters Who Trashed City’s ‘Magnificent Mile’

CHICAGO, IL - FEBRUARY 23: Cook County State's attorney Kim Foxx arrives to speak with reporters and details the charges against R. Kelly's first court appearance at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse on February 23, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. (Photo by Nuccio DiNuzzo/Getty Images)
“Our members were subject to threats both verbally and physically, were battered with all types of bricks and rocks, and stood the line to help protect the citizens and their property,” he wrote. “Our offices did this with the understanding that the looters and criminals would be prosecuted and held to account for their actions. It appears that this is not going to happen.”
Chicago’s Fraternal Order of Police sent a letter to the United States Attorney’s office late last week asking the federal government to consider charging dozens of looters and rioters who caused an estimated $60 million in damages to the city’s “Magnificent Mile” shopping district, amid concerns that the Cook County State’s Attorney, Kim Foxx, will not follow through on threats to prosecute.

Chicago’s CBS affiliate reports that Chicago Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara sent a personal request to U.S. Attorney John R. Lausch, Jr., asking Lausch to consider levying federal charges against those who participated in the unrest.

....Telling the truth today is a revolutionary act, and very dangerous.  We are literally surrounded by fools who have drank the kool-aid, and would stab any one of us in the back the first chance they get.  Have observed it all too often, not just in Central Texas, but in most areas of this country.  No street is devoid of these cretins, some individuals just hide it better than others."

Don Williams made marital fidelity sexy: Dated

Singer Don Williams died last Friday (Sept 8) in Mobile, Alabama at the age of 78.

Don Williams, a singer of heartfelt country ballads who emerged as one of the biggest stars in country music during the late 1970s, died last Friday in Mobile, Alabama. He was 78.

His publicist said the cause was emphysema, a lung condition.

Never entirely comfortable in the limelight, Williams nonetheless found himself in it: Seventeen of his singles, including earnest declarations such as You’re My Best Friend and Lord, I Hope This Day Is Good, reached the top of the Billboard country chart from 1974 to 1984.

“Whose Hand Shall Write It, Whose Tongue Shall Utter It?”

Southern Secession & Northern Coercion - Confederate Shop
I used to recite a part of his speech The New South: in front of the Marshall, VA UDC. Starting with "Dr. Talmage has drawn for you, with a master’s hand, the picture of your returning armies"

Senator Benjamin H. Hill of Georgia, one of the last to accept the secession of his State in 1861, proved himself to be the last to give up the hope of establishing that secession. After Lincoln’s election in November 1860, Hill pleaded that the Union not be abandoned to its enemies by withdrawing. He asked: “Is this Union good? If so, why should we surrender its blessings because Massachusetts violates the laws of that Union? Drive Massachusetts to the duties of the Constitution or from its benefits . . . Let us defend the Union from its enemies – not abandon it to them.”

On March 11, 1865, he delivered what has been designated “the last speech made by any Southern man in behalf of the Confederacy.”

Peter Navarro: Dems Want USPS to Be ‘Ballot-Harvesting Service’

Sunday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends Weekend,” White House trade and manufacturing adviser Peter Navarro accused Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) of trying to turn the U.S. Postal Service into a “ballot harvesting service.”

Navarro said, “Let’s think about it. First, the irony of what’s getting Chuck and Nancy back to Washington; it’s not concern about the working men and women of America, who really need our help right now. They want to come back so they can rename the post office the United States ballot harvesting service. So it’s unfortunate we get these – in the middle of the election – we get all these new cycle things going on that they seize upon.”

Why Is It So Difficult To Make A Clench Fist Right After Waking Up?

Recently, I learned from family, friends, and neighbors what happened when Antifa, seeking to cause havoc, came to an Italian-, Irish-, and now Albanian-American Bronx neighborhood and another almost exclusively Italian-American Bronx neighborhood nearby.

Apparently, when confronted by an organized and motivated opposition, they decided that discretion was the better part of valor and retired from the field of battle.

How unexpected.  When their cowardice was exposed, they took their ball and went home — or, perhaps, to another area where they knew they would not face resistance to their riotous depredations.

Is Biden-Harris on Tom Dewey's Path?

Undeniably, Trump has his problems. But it is not certain that Biden's sheltering in his basement and issuing his milquetoast responses to Portland, Seattle, and the shootings, lootings, and killings in Chicago, will prevail on Nov. 3 over Trump's boisterous campaign call to crack down on criminals, go back to school, get back to work, and "play ball."
Biden-Harris looks like a ticket content to sit on its lead and ride to victory in November, the way Governor Dewey did in 1948.

Accused of being a serial harasser in 2019, Joe Biden did what comes naturally. He apologized for perceived past misbehavior, and, to appease his accusers, pledged to choose a woman for a Biden ticket. Reacting to the racial rage that erupted after the death of George Floyd under the knee of a white Minneapolis cop, Biden reacted again. He put out word he would be looking closely for a black woman to run with.
