The University of Tampa fired a visiting assistant professor who tweeted Sunday that Hurricane Harvey was "instant Karma" for Texas because of the state's support of Republicans.

In a statement on its Facebook page published Tuesday, the University of Tampa said Kenneth Storey, a visiting assistant professor of sociology, "has been relieved of his duties at UT."

"We condemn the comments and the sentiment behind them, and understand the pain this irresponsible act has caused," the university said. "…As Floridians, we are well aware of the destruction and suffering associated with tropical weather. Our thoughts and prayers are with all impacted by Hurricane Harvey."

North Korea's antique airplane could be its most dangerous weapon yet

Via Billy

North Korea paratroopers jump out of two Antonov An-2 transport aircrafts.

Amid escalating tensions with the United States, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un tested out a seemingly laughable, but key part of his arsenal.

Footage recently emerged of North Korea paratroopers jumping out of what seems to be two 70-year-old Antonov An-2 transport aircrafts.

While the concept of Pyongyang using these Stalin-era planes seems far-fetched considering the nuclear weapons at its disposal, the aircrafts could be North Korea’s most deadly weapon.
The dated aircraft raisesthe concern that they could be used to transport a nuclear bomb to be dropped quite easily without triggering any radar at any specific target.

No end To Coverups

Paul Craig Roberts

Craig Roberts (yes, there are two of us) is a former US Marine and a 27-year veteran of the Tulsa, Oklahoma, police force. He is a capable and committed person. Since 1989 he has written 13 books. His latest, just published, Medusa File II, consists essentially of his volumnious files of the investigation of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19th, 1995, known as “the Oklahoma City Bombing.”

The FBI, appreciative of Roberts’ capabilities, requested his service in the investigation. As officially part of the investigation, he took the investigation seriously. The investigation proceeded rapidly, developing many leads. Numerous witnesses saw Timothy McVeigh with many dark complexioned men prior to and just after the bombing. Leads were also developed to militias in Elohim City, to the German, Strassmeir, and others.

Before any of these leads could be developed, the investigation was taken over by President Bill Clinton’s Attorney General, Janet Reno. Once Washington took over, the investigation stopped. In its place was Washington’s theory that it was Tim McVeigh’s lonely protest. The volumnious evidence of McVeigh’s accomplices or controllers, as might have been the case, was in the way of the official story that imposed itself on the investigation. Many people resisted the coverup that descended on the case, including local journalists who eventually lost their jobs or moved on.

YouTube "Economically Censors" Ron Paul, Labels Videos "Not Suitable" For All Advertisers

Former US Congressman Ron Paul has joined a growing list of independent political journalists and commentators who’re being economically punished by YouTube despite producing videos that routinely receive hundreds of thousands of views.

In a tweet published Saturday, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange tweeted a screenshot of Paul’s “Liberty Report” page showing that his videos had been labeled “not suitable” for all advertisers by YouTube's content arbiters.

Assange claims that Paul was being punished for speaking out about President Donald Trump’s decision to increase the number of US troops in Afghanistan, after Paul published a video on the subject earlier this week.

The notion that YouTube would want to economically punish a former US Congressman for sharing his views on US foreign policy – a topic that he is unequivocally qualified to speak about – is absurd.

Furthermore, the “review requested” marking on one of Paul's videos reveals that they were initially flagged by users before YouTube's moderators confirmed that the videos were unsuitable for a broad audience.

A newsletter posted on the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) campus started to make the rounds on social media Thursday. It states veterans should be banned from four-year universities. Several viewers asked 11 News to look into the origin of the newsletter.

The letter states military veterans should be banned from classes and compares the military culture to white supremacist groups.

The newsletter is titled "Social Justice Collective Weekly" and says it is the first issue. A spokesperson for UCCS said the newsletter has nothing to do with the school and does not represent the institution's views. However, it was reportedly approved by the university and posted on a bulletin board. The school says anyone is allowed to post items on the board.

On Friday, the chancellor issued a statement.

It reads in part:

Miracles never cease, again! :) Berkeley Mayor: We Should Classify Antifa ‘As A Gang’ & Four Major Liberal Outlets Denounce Antifa

Mayor of Berkeley Jesse Arreguin on Monday said it is time to confront the violent extremism on the left by treating black-clad Antifa protesters as a gang.

A large number of masked Antifa activists were seen jumping the barriers at a largely peaceful demonstration in Berkeley’s Martin Luther King Civic Center Park on Sunday.

Some began attacking Trump supporters at the rally.

“I think we should classify them as a gang,” said Arreguin. “They come dressed in uniforms. They have weapons, almost like a militia and I think we need to think about that in terms of our law enforcement approach.”

Four Major Liberal Outlets Denounce Antifa

The tide is turning against the militant “anti-fascist” movement, as more liberal outlets are finally denouncing antifa violence. Four major liberal media outlets have raised eyebrows for doing so Monday: MSNBC, The Washington Post, the Associated Press, and even New York Magazine.

In response to a violent antifa attack Sunday at a “Rally Against Hate,” MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and his guests ripped the “mentally stunted snowflakes” for their “thuggery.”

“This is an ongoing problem at Berkeley especially, where members of the far left are using violence to shut down free speech and there, to shut down demonstrators,” Scarborough said.

The antifa activists used shields and weapons to attack both rally attendees and members of the media who were covering the event. Several people were injured and two were hospitalized.

“Who is running Berkeley, and why can't they protect free speech? What's your problem in Berkeley? Why can't you protect free speech?” the “Morning Joe” host asked, urging the activists to “take your mask off.”
One of Scarborough's guests noted the antifa tactics were “nothing but fascist in their behavior.”

After Antifa's weekend chaos, Ben Shapiro issues stern challenge to Berkeley ahead of upcoming lecture

1. Berkeley has agreed to host us. They say they support free speech.
2. They required us to pay a $15K security fee.
3. That means the police should damn well do their jobs and stop violence. No excuses.
4. ATTENDEES, DO NOT SHOW UP FOR VIOLENCE.
5. If the police refuse to do their jobs, or are told not to be administration or government figures, Congress should act.
6. Those who engage in political violence break the covenant of civilized society. The police must enforce that covenant.
7. The alt-right is repulsive. Antifa is repulsive. We should all stand together against political violence. Join us, Berkeley.

Self-styled anti-fascist rioters brought their violence back to Berkeley this weekend, attacking peaceful demonstrators attending a "Rally Against Hate" with sticks and smoke bombs. On Monday, conservative author Ben Shapiro, who's slated to address students in a lecture at the University of California, Berkeley on Sept. 14, issued a stern warning to anyone who may be spoiling for a fight over his appearance.
