Capt. John D. Fleming of Columbia, Tennessee commander of the B-29 "Goin' Jesse" waves a Confederate flag as he prepares to take off with some of the 2,000,000 ton of bombs dropped by the AAF in World War II.
Brock I wanted to Thank you for all your help advertising our Hoosier Patcom! Thank you! In sheer numbers some might not think it was a big deal. But 12 Bros and one Sister now have friends who think like they do.And we have a Great connection to others through Dio! Can't say enough good things about the dude. Best was no attitude at all.But if ya wanted to know he had the answers! To me it was a huge success!! Thanks again Bro!
Thank you also. Too bad we aren't closer, but I have always thought we need to keep it local. If we could just get up to say 10+ in each county, that would be great!
My father's family is from just outside Columbia. Most moved away years ago, one distant cousin still there as of about ten years ago. G-grandfather was too young to have served but two great uncles were with the calvary. There were others on my g grandmothers side, also from Maury county.
Uncle was a German prisoner in WW II. Dad was in Naval Air Transport.
Computer is acting up, the first paragraph refers to the War Between the States.
