While the Hemi was not offered in the Belvedere line until 1968, an unknown number of prototypes were built in 1967. Most of these cars were special-ordered by Mopar employeees or executives.. This Belvedere II is a true J-code example equipped with Chrysler’s 426/425 HP dual 4-barrel Hemi engine, backed by a special heavy duty A727 Torqueflite automatic transmission and limited slip Dana 60 rear end. Its triple Black color scheme, matching steelies mounting dog dish caps and Redline tires, and a Spartan bench seat interior with column shifter and radio delete emphasize this rare Hemi Belvedere’s predatory personality.
