Patriot's Day and Guns

Via Billy

April 19, 1775, Patriots Day, is the day that we celebrate the Battles of Lexington and Concord by the Militia against the British. People don't remember or realize that it was 1775. This was before the Declaration of Independence and before the American Colonies had an army.  These Patriots had guts!

At five in the morning, roughly 30 Patriot Militiamen stood up to hundreds of well trained and equipped of British troops. The British troops were trying to confiscate the militia guns and cannons. It was gun confiscation, not taxes that started the Revolutionary War.

I think the best way to honor “Patriots’ Day” is to practice “rifle marksmanship” as a modern day militia rifleman. You should make sure you have ammunition and equipment if you are ever called to muster with the militia. If your budget allows, try to go to the range and practice.
