Am I a traitor?

Via NC Renegade

The question hit me like a lightning bolt as I looked in the mirror upon awaking this morning. Am I a traitor to my country, to my fellow citizens of the United States of America? Have I abandoned all sound reason and logic and lost my moral compass?

Have I somehow sold out my ideals and thereby my family, friends and fellow reporters?  Apparently someone in this administration must believe I am a traitor and lost my way, for I am the target of active telephone monitoring by the National Security Agency (NSA), a branch of the Department of Defense and an agency tasked with monitoring foreign intelligence and communications.

As I stared in the mirror, I asked myself, “what am I missing here?” What have I done during the course of seeking out the truth to provide to the American people about what’s really going on within and outside of our government with regard to the numerous “scandals” we are learning about? Could it be that the truth is that toxic to those in power that they will go to such lengths to silence an investigative reporter?

  1. In today's usa if you are not Muslim or Marxist you are automatically a traitor. Or you can substitute REBEL or Confederate for traitor. So by default, everyone not identified as a patriot by the powers in charge is a rebel, confederate and traitor. You have no say in the matter just as we had no say in 1861. We were labelled rebels and the moniker stuck because it is the victors who decides how history will read. If we had won it could have just as easily been the opposite.

If we had won, we wouldn't have taken over the Yankee government, so I'm not sure.

  2. Oh no, I mean we wouldn't have been called traitors. Most likely not called rebels either.
As for the Yankees and their government, they can keep all the bad stuff since they're so adept at making a mess of everything..

    1. Reminds me of one of my favorite generals, D. H. Hill.:)

In regard to your first communication touching the burning of Plymouth you seem to have forgotten two things. You forget, sir, that you are a Yankee and that Plymouth is a Southern town. It is no business of yours if we choose to burn one of our own towns. A meddling Yankee troubles himself about every body's matters except his own and repents of everybody's sins except his own. We are a different people. Should the Yankees burn a Union village in Connecticut or a cod-fish town in Massachusetts we would not meddle with them but rather bid them God-speed in their work of purifying the atmosphere.
