In the wake of George Zimmerman’s acquittal , multiple “Justice for Trayvon” demonstrations and related acts of violence have been reported nationwide.
Some protesters were satisfied with making statements, such as Stevie Wonder’s proclamation that he will not perform in Florida until it eliminates its self-defense “Stand Your Ground” law.
Milwaukee NBC affiliate TWMJ reports the 34-year-old – who asked that only his first name, Chris, be used – was beaten by a dozen black teens and ultimately saved by a Good Samaritan who was also black.
“I was just being pummeled from every direction I could imagine,” said Chris.

Why is it the MSM and the public at large do not understand "stand your ground" ? It is simply law reaffirming fundamental human and Constitutional rights? Without them here is what you get; as a police officer I was schooled in Constitutional Law particularly the criminal elements. One case I remember from the great bastion of liberalism, Massachusetts, was an elderly woman threatened by burglars in her home ran to her basement to get away, they followed and she fortunately had a gun so shot them. The great wizened black robes of that state's Supreme Court ruled that since she had a doorway she could have run out, she had no right to defend herself, in her home. Stand your ground applies anywhere you have a legal right to be. No one should have to run from assholes and thugs. You can imagine how much ridicule was heaped on the class presenter from a classroom of NC police officers.
