JEB Stuart's homeplace is only bout 25 miles from where I grew up. They hold re-enactments there every year, but I'm so sentimental I can never attend any such thing. I know he married into part of the Hairston family who was the richest family in America until the war. They owned about 20 plantations, one being a mile from where I grew up. I personally know and am friends with one of the last of the Hariston's too, bout my age. Stuart was a gallant man and a gentleman. Sadly this world does not honor or care for such people... never has never will...
