1970 saw the birth of the Chevelle SS454 LS6, the largest-displacement and most powerful Chevrolet muscle car built to that time and the enduring champion of the muscle car wars. One of the handsomest cars of the era, the 1970 Chevelle and the LS6 engine, which the factory underrated at 450 HP and 500 lb-ft of torque, were a marriage made in muscle car heaven.

  1. I had one like it back in 78. Same color except mine had a black vinyl top. I bought it from a friend who was getting married. I sold it 2 yrs. later for more than I paid for it. Man would that car move. Been kicking myself in the arse ever since.

  2. Brock, I think he meant he bought a 70 model in '78?

A friend of mine had one of those, but a hardtop in Green with the white stripes.
    What a ride!
