The performance of the Kalashnikov AK47 tested by Dan gerbo.

 4 shots on four metal plates of different thickness: 6mm, 8mm,
10mm and 12mm.

Filmed by two cameras in slow motion over 500 000 frames per second.

  2. What ammo? What was the Rockwell Hardness of the steel? (Was it steel?) I know my all but gone Vietnam war era China AP ammo will punch a hole in 4MM AR500 at 50 yards , Its also MUCH hotter than "modern" ball. ALL my old Chin 7.62X39 ammo is hotter than anything in 7.62x39 made today. But the stuff smells like skunk poo when you shoot it and make nasty black smoke.---Ray
