The tragic end of Anneliese and her family

For Roswell's comment on 1945: The Russians Were Coming: East Prussia And Battle Of KOENIGSBERG

Tante Marie (born in Richmond, married her German cousin, who held a doctoral degree of what we don't know,  and lived there through both world wars) was the aunt of my brother-in-law, a VMI graduate. My sister complied a book which has her correspondence with the Army, government and her brother in Richmond from 1945 until 1949 when she returned to this country.  There are many fascinating letters. She had more food during the war years living in Germany than she had the two years after when the allies were in control. Wrap your mind around that. Also, they were terrified of the Russians and one of her relatives lived through days of horrid Russian occupation, but after they left and she found that they were returning, killed herself and her children. Imagine the horror. Excerpt below:

Neuwied, June 15,1946

"Did you ever get the letter telling you of the tragic end of Anneliese and her family? No one of you mentioned it. She was in Dresden with her mother and sister when the Russians came in. He husband died in the war several years ago. She and her two dear little boys, her mother and sister committed suicide out of fear of future happenings. How she must have suffered to be induced to such."

RAPE OF GERMAN WOMEN: After Germany lost the Second World War

  1. Just completely evil.... The thousands that committed suicide, rather than live with the immeasurable, soul crushing horror the Russian devils did to them....
I had read that many German women in the weeks and months that followed the Russian charge into Germany, committed suicide after realizing that they had become pregnant due to the gang rapes! Again, I can't begin to understand the emotional crush to their being from such horror!

    1. Yes and we complain of injustices. They pale in comparison, needless to say.

    2. No mixed emotions on this one. The Germans, as a nation, applauded the barbarism of one the world's greatest evil men, Hitler. Even if most had no knowledge of the Holocaust, they all cheered as Germany ran over all of Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the Balkans and eventually the Soviet Union. German soldiers raped, killed, plundered, and executed millions on their way to Moscow. They are not saints!
On the other hand, to this day the Russians are a violent and barbarous people, liars beyond all belief, and happy to once more take territory by force, (Crimea); then praise Putin as the savior of their country. No one is a saint in this corrupt world. I have no tears for either..

You cannot judge all, by perhaps, the majority and there is much more on the menu which was provoked because of the WWI settlement. I also think the German Army atrocities pale in comparison to the Red Army, not that any are permissible.

True, right up there with Lenin, Stalin and Lincoln to mention a few.

Any people, who do not desire living under their current form of government have the Natural Right and an obligation to cast off their chains. This applies to any and every form of government.

  2. I hope Roswell doesn't get to see history repeat itself here, but it already is starting all over Europe on a smaller scale with the gang rapes and sex trafficking by muslim "immigrants" against the "native" girls. The Russian communists acted like devil's spawn in their victory, and the islamists want to be the modern day equivalent. Or am I exaggerating?

    2. @ Sioux, "islamists want to be the modern day equivalent". You are absolutely correct, as we're already hearing, and reading about the forced genital mutilation of Christians (women/young girls) and other non muslim women, also being sold, or given to isis fighters as wife's or sex slaves....
Satan's spawn come in every color, every stripe, every twisted ideology. The evil that sees females only as "cattle", to do with as they please, is not new by any means, but the new atrocities committed today bring a fresh reminder that evil never sleeps, never takes a day off, and has YOU in its sights!

  3. For one of the best books published dealing with the aftermath of WWII, http://www.amazon.com/Savage-Continent-Europe-Aftermath-World/dp/125003356X

This book goes into in depth detail about the injustices of just not the mass rapes, but the economic damage and forced resettlement of many civilians from their homes and property.

Now then, as for the comment from anonn@10:42pm. No, the entire German population did not applaud Hitler and the Nazi Party, Hitler was elected with just a 38% of the general vote. Through out the war years over 16,500 German citizens were sent to their death's by the Gestapo, the main execution device used for those German citizens was the guillotine. Nazi Germany executed more people with the guillotine in four years than France did since the French Revolution.

    1. Thanks for the link. Seems like I recognize the cover, but haven't read it.

  4. In most countries you have to vote by law - not like America. So, that 38% of the general vote going for Hitler would be an accurate estimate of Hitler's lack of support. In America, about half the people vote give or take. So, most our Presidents get around 25-30% of the eligible vote. Hardly a winning consensus.

Unarmed German women had no chance - I understand why they committed suicide rather than face the Barbarians. I would probably do the same, but not until I emptied my weapons into them first. I pray that I would go down fighting rather than cowering in fear.

Oh, you will if it unfortunately comes to that.

  5. War does something terrible. It forces normal people to strip their moral guidance and become something they cannot imagine. For a soldier to do his job the enemy cannot be a person. The enemy must be stripped of all humanity. Only then can a sane person do what they must and remain sane. That soldier is no longer a human that has been stripped and replaced with hatred of an enemy. That does however bring about the atrocities of war.

I will relate a short story I was never meant to hear. My dad, uncles and friends were all WWII venetians. Us kids would play until we dropped from exhaustion. The women were in the house talking. The men would sit outback usually with a small fire and drink some beers. I always tried to stay awake because when we went to sleep they would talk about the war and I found that fascinating. Usually I failed except this one night I did manage to say awake and listen.

So many years have past I no longer remember which one of the friends told the story, only the story remains. My uncles were first generation German and were not allowed in Europe until late in the war. First generation Germans served in the Pacific theater. He told about the invasion of some tiny no name island held by the Japs. It took several days to fully secure the island. He came to a point where he started to cry. It seems there was a hospital on the island. When they finally took the hospital all the patients were executed. The nurses were raped by anyone that wanted then killed also. In the end he said not trying to doing anything to stop it is his biggest regret. I never knew what my dad did during the war he never talked about it. Once I ask him, I was about 30 at the time. His eye filled with tears, he began to cry then just shook his head and walked away. My dad was a strong man I cannot imagine what he must have had to do I only hope he found peace with God.

  6. Rape is the most heinous act to me, witnessing someone raping a woman or child.... One way or another that bastard is gonna die! If I did nothing, turned my head, plugged my ears so as not to hear her screaming.... How would one live with that knowledge, that surrender of personal values??
It's something I pray that my eyes never fill with tears, because I was unable to stop the attack on those innocent of any crime. Even women who take up arms, and serve as combatants , haven't "earned" the right to be raped, if they are shot or captured.

  8. Geez, then that will only leave the Brain Dead around to pick up the pieces - we have to be very smart in how we "never surrender" - survival is also important. We have Peter as our guide for letting down Jesus three times by denying Him. Jesus needed Peter to carry on the fight and knew Peter was all too human as we all are as well. So, contemplate what Never Surrender really means and whether being mauled and raped may be necessary to endure to carry on the fight against these evil satan spawns.

  9. When we talk about Holocausts and war crimes let us not forget Dresden, when fellow white men bombed into annihilation hundreds of thousands of other white men, women and children. Will we ever see a Dresden Memorial Day in Britain? I doubt it. Dresden
was the real Holocaust. Seems everything we Americans have been told about WWII
have been lies. Churchill, FDR, and Stalin the scum of humanity. The Brit's and the
US did their fair share of rapes of women and children, eight yrs. old and up.

    2. I remember hearing about 'die Russen' when I was a little kid growing up in New York. My parents and aunt would get letters, sometimes, from their relatives still in Germany during the war describing the horrors. Also, my dad's half sister was raped in Germany by the Russians and she became pregnant. She met a G.I. and they married and he brought her to the states. I remember her sometimes relating those times to my parents and she would always start crying. In war, some men become unhuman animals and women always bear the brunt of this. It is all about power. Same thing happened in Bosnia just recently. The wolves are circling us now, you know...this time from within. I truly believe that our 2nd Amendment is the only thing staving off the attack. I am an old lady, too, but I can shoot straight and will also fight to the death.
