Damn...they are expensive! I'd be worried about the possibility of clots and or debris entering a vein causing a foreign body embolism, if the wound is opened up at a later time.
Damn, if I know and you're the expert, but it seems to me that they aren't closed completely.
Lord knows, I'm not "the expert". The closures don't look like they're tight like sutures/staples. But common sense says the wound starts healing after it is closed back together. Then if you reopen the wound, blood clots could be loosened. Plus add more to the healing time. But I could be wrong.
the wound starts healing after it is closed back together. Would that begin immediately or in a few hours?
The healing starts immediately after the wound occurs, but closing the wound will help it heal faster.
So, you would be worried even if closed for say an hour?
Brock, I'm not a physician. But once the wound is closed, the skin will start to heal. The deeper the wound, the longer it takes to start to heal, usually around 3-4 hrs.
Thanks, so you wouldn't be worried if only for an hour or so?
