Heavy Hitters Sharyl Attkisson, Jonathan Turley, Sheriff David Clarke to Testify at Attorney General Nomination Hearing

On Wednesday President Obama's nominee to replace Attorney General Eric Holder, U.S. Attorney Loretta Lynch, will testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee in an effort to prove why she's fit to be the nation's top law enforcement officer.

On Thursday, Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley will hold a separate, follow up confirmation hearing and will listen to testimony from a host of different witnesses regarding Lynch's nomination. Among those witnesses:

-Investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson, who has been repeatedly targeted by the Department of Justice for her work on Benghazi and Operation Fast and Furious

-Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, who has been an outspoken opponent of Attorney General Holder's vilification of law enforcement

-George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley, who has been highly critical of the Obama administration's abuse of executive power

  2. All it takes is for one person to Bork her - hang this one on for months and months. Who cares - She is definitely more of the same. No Attorney General is better than these characters trashing the country and disobeying the Laws of the Land. She should be asked whether she would support a special investigation of Eric Holder and all of his criminal acts while in office. Think back on John Mitchell who actually went to prison for far less than what this wanton racist criminal pig has done to America.

Good point. We are doomed, if this crap isn't stymied and then reversed.

  7. just read this over at CTH - Gowdy is getting played like a Stradivarius, and whether he likes it or not, it's not going to turn out well for his special investigation either.

I fully agree with your assessment of Gowdy’s chances of breaking Bengahzi into the sunlight. I think Mr Gowdy decided to bite the bullet and risk his dignity in order to keep the issue alive and keep us as informed as circumstances allow. He fired his first shot with that speech to Congress which is worth reviewing. I’ve watched it many times now. He virtually admits that there is no chance of conclusive exposure of the wrongdoing involved. He forcefully names and attacks the forces which make that so. I applaud what I consider a rare display of moral courage and forceful righteousness. He means to make Congress relevant despite all which seeks to render it irrelevant. His bit.

How few stand with him in our government in fulfilling their oath of office and defending the Constitution. Bottom line.
