If you don't have a work ethic instilled in you, and you don't have the traditional sense of what it means to be a "man", then there is a certain logic to his choices. Why work if you are rewarded for not working? Why grown up and become an adult, when you can continue to live as a teenager? So I suspect this slacker will continue to live as he has been for as long as can. However, the gods of the copy book headings WILL have the final say.
