A Cobb County woman pleaded guilty to killing a 21-year-old Kennesaw University Student Tuesday, just before lawyers started choosing jurors for her murder trial.

Police said road rage prompted Sparkles Lindsey, 22, to shoot Kimberly Kilgore, 21, to death.
Kilgore's family agreed to a plea deal, sentencing Lindsey to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 30 years to avoid re-living Kilgore's death in court.

"They were very gracious in this case," District Attorney Vic Reynolds told Channel 2's Ross Cavitt. "They're kind, decent, gracious kind of people and consented to this plea and were in favor of it, so we're glad to wrap this case up for them."

Kilgore's mother told the judge the sentence would not bring closure.

“She was very close to her sisters. I homeschooled her until middle school so we were just a close family, and without her, life isn’t be the same," said Rebecca Jones Kilgore.

  1. Pretty sickening - no racism involved, right?

    Did you see this today?

  2. Road rage?? Black on white violence again? 30 years..... Her life full of promise, and his full of only God knows what. She's dead, and he's gonna spend 30 years (or more) getting three squares a day, on the taxpayers dime!

    1. I read that it it cheaper to commit someone to life imprisonment than to execute them because of the appeals system.

  3. Roswell, believe it or not, the murderer is a woman called Sparkles ...not a guy

  4. And the White genocide keeps rolling on.... I would have as a family member insisted a trail begun and ALL the gory details emerge and insist on the death penalty!

    1. Me too, I can understand them not wanting to go through with it, but I'd have pushed it to the limit.

  5. Unfortunely, life imprisonment is misleading. There will be parole hearing, with the murderer released early due to good behavior and prison over crowding, (after all the state MUST punish non-violent offenders, whose crime is taking the wrong recreation drug, or dealing in raw milk). Putting murderers to death is wrong and uncivilized, while killing an unborn baby is a constitution right that MUST be protected at all cost, at the expense of the tax payer.

But I do have my own humble solution for prison over crowding, which will have the benifit our relations with the Russians and save the taxpayers money. We contract with the Russians to reopen and man their Gulags in Siberia! I am sure they will not mind the extra cash flow, labor cost would be cheaper. A prisoner would then serve out the prison sentence in full. And should a prisoner escape, well so what! Who cares, as Siberia is one very big place and it gets damn cold there. I am sure that the bad guys would get the message that is better to behave than serve a 30 year sentence in Siberia.

      Really.

      Write your representative!

    2. Brock, I hope you got the sarcasism in my first paragraph. As for writing your representative, I am cynical, in that it is a waste of time. I live in Minnesota, a state known for being liberal, as well as beening in the heart of the socialist center, Minneapolis. The party of the dysfuntional family Lovers party (the DFL) will politely ignore me. As for the other party, the party of wimps, the only way they will take an interest is if I have a large amount cash for their re-election. Besides why bother? The dont have the balls or the spine to take any real action against the DFL.

  6. In Russia they use the Caucasian Mountain dogs, 200 lbs. of ferociousness for when
a prisoner escapes or the dogs are taken on rounds in the prison with the guards.
Saw a special on Russian prisons and the dogs.

    1. I've been fascinated by those dogs for years and would love one, but they are a full time job. They are the best family protector possible as far as dogs are concerned and will fight to the death in defense. Wonderful around young children in the family also, but only around your family. You can introduce them to friends carefully and they are OK.

    2. Also, the Kangal from Turkey which is also huge and once they bond
with you and your family, I understand you have a loyal friend for life.
I'd like a Kangal too but read the Turks are very possessive of the dogs.

    3. Yes, there is a family who own a pack and they are something else. Don't want to get out of your car until they owners come out of the house.:)

Ovcharkas are my favorite though. It's hard to believe that the two pictures below are of the same breed. :)
