Cache of German Saboteurs Found 70 Years After the War

Via Surplus_Sam

Here's an interesting finding from a Latvian forest - five hermetic containers intended for German saboteurs, who acted in the time of WWII in the rear of Red Army. All these seventy years the containers were reliably protected from moisture, so the contents are preserved even better than it could be at a warehouse.

  1. Yeh well..The guns holsters hand grenades as well as almost all the rest are Russian. There is an aggressive cottage industry in "finding" "NAZI ARTAFACTS" and selling them to collectors at 5000% markup over what they would otherwise bring on the open market. I would have real questions about this as those boys "finding" perfect "German" (actually Russian) artifacts is an awfully good way to make 2000USD from a 100USD Nagant revolver.---Ray

  3. The site opened right up with Start Page. One pic looks
    to be a Russian antebellum.

    1. They were in the rear of them, so not implausible at all.
