Southern Baptist vs. Donald Trump: Opposition to GOP candidate is on 'right side of Jesus'

Via Billy

Donald Trump

The war of words has erupted between presumptive Republican presidential nominee and an official with the Southern Baptist Convention.

The battle started when Russell Moore, head of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, penned an op-ed for the New York Times saying opposition to divisive figure such as Trump would put evangelical Christians "on the right side of Jesus."

"The man on the throne in heaven is a dark-skinned, Aramaic-speaking "foreigner" who is probably not all that impressed by chants of "Make America great again," Moore wrote.

  1. So what is Russell Moore's point? And what does the description of the human body that the Word of God took upon Himself have to do with thst point? Is he repudiating nationalism, something God Himself set up for the world when He destroyed the first attempt at globalism by Nimrod in Genesis 11.

  3. I have a good deal of complaints about Southern Baptists. But mainly it all comes down to one point, their refusal to admit they are ignorant. Even the most ignorant person can learn something new if they know they are ignorant. But someone who refuses to acknowledge their lack knowledge can never learn anything. And this you usually fine in stupid people that think they are smart.

    2. And Dear Sir, what fact would the 16 million autonomous southern baptists be ignorant of. There is a reason you will find several baptist churches in even a small town, and that reason is because they do not tend to agree with each other on just about everything but the basics such as the trinity, grace thru faith, lords supper, etc. Anyone who knows anything about baptists knows why they are called battling baptists. The sbc has no control whatsoever over any church. And for the record I do not agree with this man on this matter.

    3. The Baptist were the only ones who did not not rejoin their Yankee counterparts after the War.

  4. If the DNC had spoken in favor of Trump, Obama's IRS attack dogs would be going after their tax exempt status.

  5. I can't imagine that Christ is not in any state but one of unity with God or would be in any need of translation from or into Aramaic in order to communicate with us. Neither do I think he would look on with disapproval on a nation who's own sacrifices in his name have helped raise so many of his creatures from poverty and despair taking some time turn inward and repair itself and it's people before sending them forth again with the renewed strength of God to help our closest neighbors who suffer under the yokes of violent drug cartels and human trafficers and racist elites who deceive them as fellow Mexicans but care only what blood and life they can extract from them for their own pleasures.

If you follow Vox Day you realize that social justice warriors (SJW) all try to "man" the gateway to any institution. Then use that power to keep the "unvetted" heathens outside the institution and in the institutions crosshairs. Churches have become gamergate.
